satellite hookup

Bought an Orbi system a few years ago came with main unit and 1 satellite. Needed better coverage bought another satellite wont sync to existing unit even by pushing the sync button. The new satellite has a different password and don't know how to fix this problem

Re: satellite hookup

Did you push both sync buttons?

It may be necessary to "Factory Reset" the satellite:

Re: satellite hookup

On the Orbi web interface, there is a menu selection for "Add a Satellite" (http://orbilogin.net) at the bottom.

A used satellite may have been synced to a router before you got it.  As far as I am aware, there is "downside" to doing a Factory Reset on a satellite before attaching it to a router.
