Re: RBE971 drops offline & reboots continually, ready for return
I’ve been messaging support back and forth for over a month without any hope of resolution since their standard debug steps don’t apply. The router crashes so there’s no way to get debug out of it.
Their support graciously wants to close the issue after 5 days automatically so I’ve had to email them periodically so they don’t close out the issue.
I’m running the latest firmware and have followed all the initial debug steps including factory reset.

Re: RBE971 drops offline & reboots continually, ready for return
Does the front LED on the RBR turn PINK when this happens?
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router 📡 and satellite(s)🛰️? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR 📡 and RBS 🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Is IPv6 enabled or disabled on the RBR?
Others have posted that putting a USB fan on top of the RBR has stopped the RBRs mysterious reboots or disconnections...Something you might try.

Re: RBE971 drops offline & reboots continually, ready for return
The front light on the RBR blinks white and the back light is solid green. Firmware is V9.12.3.3. I have AT&T Fiber using a Nokia BGW320-505. There are 2 RBS devices in a row since I have a large ranch style house at 4200 sq. ft. The RBR is at one end of the house, followed by a RBS at 35 feet with the last RBS 67 feet from the RBR.
I just placed a fan at the base of the RBR and plan to order a small fan to place on the top. I noticed the top of the RBR is quite hot, so I think you may be on to something. Thank you!

Re: RBE971 drops offline & reboots continually, ready for return
FYI, Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router.
