GS305E

I just purchased two switches GS305E and GS308E. I cannot get either of them to be found on my network.
I have the Netgear insight app on my iPhone and I am able to register both devices through the app, but when I go into the app it says "not accessible".
I have a fiber optic Internet connection. I have the Internet Gateway connected to port #5 of the GS305E and it is showing 1GB flashing LEDS. I have an ethernet cable connected to port #1 and then to my eero mesh extender and then I have an ethernet cable connecting my eero to my iMac desktop.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Resetting did not work. I got the other switch to be recognized and decided to send the GS305E back. Thanks for all your help and suggestions. I appreciate the help.

Re: GS305E
Be sure that you log into the switches web pages using there default IP address with a wired PC and web browser first, thats on same subnet and IP subnet as the switch. Once your in on the switches web page, go in and set a static IP address and subnet configuration on the switch that is on same subnet as your host routers IP subnet. I recommend setting the switches IP address to an address that resides out side of the host routers default DHCP IP address pool. If you don't have one, set the host routers DHCP IP address pool size to .100 to .200. Then set the switches IP address to .35 and .38 respectively for each of your switches. Match the subnet mask and set the gateway addresses appropriately. Then once set, you can connect them to your router network and should appear as a device. Access the switches web pages at the new static IP address respectively in a web browser, i.e. ###.###.#.35 and 38
Check for Insight app connectivity as well.

Re: GS305E
Thanks for the quick reply. I am not able to get to the switch's ip address. The connection times out. I am able to access other websites though. This is very frustrating!
Do I need to have a router between the gateway and the switch?

Re: GS305E
No, I'd do a factory reset on the switch. Confirm the default managagement IP address of the switch from the installation guide or user manual. Set a static IP adderss on your PC to match subnet as what is default on the switch... with the last octet set to say .49 on your pc and subnet mask should be same as switch default mask. Then you should be able to access the switches management page then get it configured for your main network and subnet.

Re: GS305E
What IP addresses does Insight App discover from the two switches?
Yes, some NAT-router like device dealing with a local network LAN subnet, assigning IP addresses for more than a single computer is required.

The Insight App does - as well as the Netgear Switch Discovery Tool show the switches IP addresses. Similar, also your computer does have an indication of the IP address in use.
Unfortunately you have missed to tell us anything about your network, which is unknown to the Netgear community. Questions have not been answered. It would be very easy to help -if- people would provide what we had asked for. And even worse, some bad unlucky advise was given -without- any insight what might be wrong.
I'm convinced, there is -nothing- wrong with both switches. At least, it's very unlikely and somewhere in the 0,00x% probability that the one of the switches is bad.
