Accessing Switch UI and Terminal
Hi!
I have few M4250 ProAV switches that I setup using Netgear Engage. I wanted to access both the Switch UI and the Terminal from Engage but I don't have any password as it seems that Engage changes the default ones. What is the procedure for the access?
Thanks!

Re: Accessing Switch UI and Terminal
By default, there is no password on the Netgear Manged switches.
The first time that you have logged in to the controller from Engage, you must have gone through the Engage Onboarding process, a one-time process that lets you set an admin password for the controller and define a default site with switches and network profiles.

Re: Accessing Switch UI and Terminal
I have gone through the onboarding and set a password and I can access the Admin UI but not the Switch UI and Terminal from the three dots menu for each switch. The password I entered on the onboarding and that I use to for the Engage app does not work. So it seems that the onboarding does not set the Switch UI and Terminal passwords.

Re: Accessing Switch UI and Terminal
Hello @fannar ,
Something is wrong, I am sorry - the Engage controller sets the "admin" password during onboarding (your defined "site password") and this is the same password for all interfaces, AV UI, Telnet/console, and IT GUI.
We cannot understand where the problem is here on the forum, please escalate to the NETGEAR ProAV Design team and one of the SEs will contact you offering help, a call will probably be necessary. Please send us a message (email) at ProAVDesign@netgear.com
