AptoVision®, Aquantia®, Christie Digital®, NETGEAR, Sony® and ZeeVee® launch SDVoE Alliance!
On Thursday Jan. 12, 2017, new Software-Defined Video over Ethernet Alliance (SDVoE) is announced with AptoVision, Aquantia, Christie Digital, NETGEAR, Sony and ZeeVee Founding Members.
The SDVoE Alliance will standardize the adoption of Ethernet to transport AV signals in professional AV environments and create an ecosystem around SDVoE technology that allows software to define AV applications. Professional AV environments will be able to transition from circuit-based HDBASE-T matrix switchers to packet-based (multicast) 10G Ethernet switches for transporting Audio-Video signals in healthcare, entertainment, hospitality, retail, etc..
The Alliance will debut at Integrated Systems Europe 2017 (ISE) in Amsterdam Netherlands, February 7-10.
NETGEAR offers the widest range of cost-effective 10Gbps switches from web and smart-managed 8-port devices to fully managed 48-port solutions with an ever increasing portfolio. By supporting the SDVoE standard, this is definitely our intent to make video distribution more efficient and flexible for the professional AV market!
Regards,
