RN316 - Downloaded file is very small size after updated 6.5.1

Hi all,

No one same situation after updated 6.5.1???

I could not download my files properly when I upgraded ReadyOS from 6.5.0 to 6.5.1.

Before installed 6.5.1, I have no issues, conditions are greatful anytime.

Anyway, details are as follows,

1. Downloaded files are very small, exact original files are few megbites but downloaded files are few hundred bytes and finished without error.

2. DLNA folder files are fine, I can download files properly anywhere outside in the local network.

3. Property of folder is all same. Seculity of all folders including accessibility settings are all same both DLNA and additioned my folder.

4. Service of network is SMB only, when I tried set HTTP, but same situation.

5. I can download any files properly(exactly same size of files between downloaded and original) in the local network thru readycloud and direct access.

Please help me if someone can solve this problem.

Thanks,

    Hello Mitsai,

How to do you check the files size? These files that you claim small size compared to its size before updating to 6.5.1, are you able to open them?

I noticed you are from Japan, would you like me to move your post to Japan board?

    Welcome to the community!

Thank you for your response on my issue.

It is fine if somebody can response in Japan board.

Unfortunately I have never seen that solved similar problem in the past Japan board since lack of technical? I have no idea, therefore I asked here because a lot of professional responded. However, I understand you said we have region issue? may be. Anyway, Thanks for your advises.

        Hello Mitsai,

Is this from just one share? Can you manually copy a file to this share and see if you get the same results?

Do you have full backup of the files?

        Regards,

  • Hello all,

I had the same issue...small sized files post download, but on my RN204 they were correct size and opened properly.

Everything worked great until v6.5.1 came along then the previously lallowed links to files only downloaded 200-400 kb file sizes.

The associated application icon would show up, but the file would cause an error when trying to open; basically stating the file was not a avalid <associated aplication> file.

Once I reverted back to v6.5.0 my problem was resolved.

      Hi GPSIS_HQ & Mitsai,

This problem you raised might be related to this thread. Were these files downloaded via web link? or was it downloaded using the web portal or the mobile/desktop apps?

      Kind regards,

        Guide

I created and emailed a web link via ReadyCloud portal.

However [if this helps] I could use ReadyCloud on my laptop from work or home and open the files that had problems in the web links.

I had no problem with the mobile app accessing my files.

        Regards!
