ReadyNAs RN104 Stuck on Booting...
I updated to 6.1.9 RC11 successfully. After 2 days the NAS crashed, I had to unplug it to restart. Since I have been having "Booting..." The Power LED blinks for booting, but the Activity LED stays still. I left it that way for a couple of hours still nothing.
After several unsuccessful tries to reinstall the OS. still nothing. I tried booting with Disk 1 and then With Disk 2 only, nothing changed. I tried to boot without any disks but still no luck. I did a Memory Test successful, running a Disk Test, still on going.
Any other suggestions please. for I have 4TB of data on these drives that I mostly need.

So you don't have a backup?
So you just have two disks in the NAS?

Re: ReadyNAs RN104 Stuck on Booting...
Yes Sir
I have 2 HDD of 4TB each, and since my ReadyNAS NV+ (4 HDD 1TB each total 3TB & 1TB backup) never had any issue what so ever since the day I pushed the ON button for the first time, I assumed that it was not necessary for the ReadyNAS NR104 :(.
The Disk Test I started this morning ran the first Test 100% in a couple of hours daily quickly. and the 2nd Test is extremely slow ?
I just realised that the Disk Test doesn't do any repairing ? and I wrong ?

Re: ReadyNAs RN104 Stuck on Booting...
Problems happen, disks can and do fail at any time. There are other problems such as fire, flood, theft etc. No important data should be trusted to a single device.
The disk test doesn't repair anything, that is correct.
It can be useful in detecting a problem disk.
You may wish to contact support again.

Re: ReadyNAs RN104 Stuck on Booting...
Hi mdgm
I stop the lengthy Disk Test process, and rebooted the NAS, bingo back online. The IP Address changed RAIDar was able to recognise the NAS. I quickly downgraded the NAS to 6.1.8 and rebooted. Still online I noticed that the total used size is back to 3.1TB from 4TB. I checked timeline and found ac couple of snapshot of 3 days ago. Should I roll back to the latest snapshot ?
Thank you
