Re: Issues with apt-get update (6.1.6 RC10)
This is a Release Candidate, but I've also wondered about "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" if it's ok to do that....
(Usually I do a "apt-get update && apg-get -s upgrade" and try to figure out if it's ok to update that packages....)

I understand that it could be many reasons why it's not so good, but it could be interesting to knew why (if you knew and don't only speak about RC's)!

Re: Issues with apt-get update (6.1.6 RC10)
You will update packages. However some services may depend on older versions of those included in the firmware. While NetGear tries to pin important ones it's possible they may have overlooked some.

Re: Issues with apt-get update (6.1.6 RC10)
Hello,
Well i always thought "apt-get update" just updated the the package/source list. It doesn't update an system files that is what apt-get upgrade is for. So my question again is why is apt-get update giving an issue of bad Sig.
Thanks 🙂

Re: Issues with apt-get update (6.1.6 RC10)
It's caused by a lag in propagating recent repository changes out to all the servers. It should go away on its own in 24-48 hours.

Re: Issues with apt-get update (6.1.6 RC10)
We had an app list update, so that probably caused the same server propagation lag as last time. It should fix itself again in 24-48 hours. If not, post back here.
