RAIDiator 4.1.14 (sparc) Frontview access

I post here because it may be related to a problem with Frontview that I posted about on the Beta.

I can access ReadyNAS from Terminal but not from my browser. I'm on a MacBook running OSX10.10 Yosemite and had to "install of legacy version of Java" to run RAIDar 4.3.8. Per previous remedies on the beta, I renamed my PHP .conf to files .old to no effect. I restarted the ReadyNAS but still could not access Frontview.

Re: RAIDiator 4.1.14 (sparc) Frontview access

Frontview popped open this evening after some delay. I tailed a 1000 with the same results likes it was in a loop or something all day. It's still going:

Re: RAIDiator 4.1.14 (sparc) Frontview access

Which of those add-ons do you use?

Is it O.K. to remove any of them using the .remove script under /etc/frontview/addons ?

Re: RAIDiator 4.1.14 (sparc) Frontview access

Thanks. I took your advice and stopped all of my streaming services...never used them...and removed all of my addons. BitTorrent hung while trying to stop or remove it within Frontview but I was able to delete it in the shell. I want to use MySQL and PHP5 for a genealogy website. I'll install the addons one at a time and monitor my error.log.

Re: RAIDiator 4.1.14 (sparc) Frontview access

Haven't reinstalled any addons but now am getting the message that my browser (tried a couple) can't connect to the server. I mentioned that I'm running RAIDar 4.3.8 but had to load an older version of Java. I also mentioned that I failed to remove bittorrent from Frontview. When I ran the .remove script, I received a reply that processes it tried to stop were not on. Don't know if that relates to the last line of the tail.

Re: RAIDiator 4.1.14 (sparc) Frontview access

# ls -la /etc/frontview/apache/addons

There is probably still a file in there for bittorrent. Remove that then try restarting Frontview:

# apache-ssl -f /etc/frontview/apache/httpd.conf -t && apache-ssl -f /etc/frontview/apache/httpd.conf -k restart

I really appreciate your timely responses. Thank you.

Found and renamed .conf files for BitTorrent and ReadyNAS_Photos. Soft restart did not seem to work:

Re: RAIDiator 4.1.14 (sparc) Frontview access

It should be working fine now. When you attempted to start Frontview after making those changes the entries were normal for trying to start Frontview when the service wasn't running.

The reason that command is recommended is that if Frontview was working it wouldn't restart Frontview if the new config had bad syntax. It also would alert you to this (if you run it from the shell as you did) so you can correct the issue.

Can you try accessing Frontview if you haven't already? If it doesn't work, what happens?
