If you are still having issues you may wish to try ReadyNAS OS 6.6.1 Beta 1

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.6.0 (RC2) UPS problems

Just installed 6.6.1 Beta 1.

All went well with install. UPS is showing online (rear USB port). I'll check again in a couple of hours. Fingers crossed.

Thanks

+1, doesn't resolve my issue.  On reboot, the UPS is connected, but at some point the connection drops.

Same results with 6.6.1-T207 (Beta 2).

No changes expected (release notes).

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.6.0 (RC2) UPS problems

We will have further UPS related changes to try in the next build.

We did a core upgrade from Debian 7 to Debian 8 in 6.6.0 (a major upgrade to the core OS and the first major core OS upgrade we've ever done for OS6) and have now discovered some changed behaviour with one of the packages in the core update that prevents UPS monitoring from working properly with some UPS devices.

Heard back from L3 support. They have found and fixed a bug in libusb that will be in beta 3.

Re: ReadyNASOS 6.6.0 (RC2) UPS problems

Setup:

6.6.1-T220 (Beta 3) on a RN104 with CyberPower 1325 connected via USB (back port).

Several RN104s running 6.4.2 using the above as a "Remote UPS".

24 Hours with and all is good with UPS problem!!!

Keep up the good work.
