re: New ReadyCLOUD client (6.2 BETA) - mixed 6.1.x/6.2?

If my question makes no sense, please pardon me. I'm not really familiar with "readyCloud" (and generally approach anything with the word "cloud" in it as a bad word.) However, I'm curious...

I have unit RN units - one is running 6.1.9 (release) and the other is running 6.2 (beta). If I wanted to play around with readyCloud, how would I deal with the different versions?

Thanks
Gary

That is a tricky one. The new client doesn't work 6.1.x. So if you have multiple client machines you could install the new client on one and leave the older client on the other one.

We have multiple ReadyCLOUD clients:
(1) The web portal: for production - readycloud.netgear.com; for beta - readycloud-staging.netgear.com
Click the link of "ReadyCLOUD" in admin UI Cloud page, you can go to the correct web portal. And you also can click the title of "ReadyCLOUD" of our new Windows client, since the new Windows client only for beta now, it will go to the beta web portal.
(2) New Windows client, only for beta now.
(3) iOS/Android app, not for beta, only for production.

Even you register your two boxes to ReadyCLOUD with same ReadyCLOUD account, for (2), you only can see your 6.2 beta box; for (3), you can see your two boxes all, but 6.2 beta box just shown as offline; for (1), you can access your 6.1.9 box with the production web portal no problem, and you can access your 6.2 beta box with the beta web portal no problem.

For 6.2 beta box, please don't forget to leave the ReadyCloud and re-register to the ReadyCLOUD again.
Once the firmware upgrade is complete, users will need to unregister from ReadyCLOUD and re-register to the ReadyCLOUD BETA portal.
In the ReadyNAS admin page go to Cloud. Click on the Setting button under ReadyCLOUD. Click Leave. This will remove your ReadyNAS from ReadyCLOUD.
This will change the slider position to off. Click to slide to turn on ReadyCLOUD. Login with your ReadyCLOUD credentials. This will automatically associate your 6.2 BETA ReadyNAS device with the Readycloud staging server (readycloud-staging.netgear.com).
