ReadyCloud is for OS6 devices, not 4.x or 5.x.

You can still use the remote client (https://remote.readynas.com/).

I found this in the usermanual readynas remote

http://mans.io/files/viewer/29596/14

Allow Cloud Users to Access Your RAIDiator 4.1 or 4.2 System To access your ReadyNAS system from your remote device (computer, smartphone, or tablet), you must first set up ReadyNAS Remote on your ReadyNAS system. (See Set Up ReadyNAS Remote on Your ReadyNAS on page7.) Next, you must install the ReadyNAS Remote client software on each device that will remotely access your ReadyNAS storage system. (See Install the ReadyNAS Remote Client on Remote Devices on page8.) Then, you can add Cloud users to your ReadyNAS system. Cloud users can access your ReadyNAS system using their ReadyNAS Remote or ReadyCLOUD accounts.

The last sentence "Can access .. using their ReadyNAS Remote

! OR ReadyCLOUD ! accounts.

and on next Page:

.....Click the OK button.
The user is listed in the Found pane.
6. Highlight the user in the Found pane and click the Add button.
The user is moved to the Allowed pane.
7. Click the Apply Settings button.
Users in the Allowed pane have access to your ReadyNAS system through their ReadyNAS
Remote "!! or ReadyCLOUD account !!

I followd this but the readcloud app says no device in this account.

What are the setings in readynas to get this working?

ReadyCloud only works with OS 6 - not with your NAS.

You can use remote.readynas.com instead.

If there is a nas with 6.0 and a nas with 4.1 in the nerwork we have to install both apps remote and cloud on win pc?

I can not beleve that is ok!!

Pls read the netgear document i mentioned above.

Yes.  Note this thread: https://community.netgear.com/t5/ReadyCLOUD/NV-and-remote-file-access/td-p/963525

Your link is outdated - it was true when published in June 2013.

I have a mix of 4.x and 6.x NAS myself, and I agree that it would have been better for users if Netgear had allowed legacy NAS to continue to be accessed via readycloud.

An alternative to Remote (and ReadyCloud) is to enable internet access to your NAS in your router (forwarding ports for HTTPS and/or FTP, or getting a router that supports OpenVPN).
