Photos 2 5701 error
Hello,
Here is the scenario. I use a FTP service with Eye-Fi to dump my pics to a default album on my ReadyNas 104. When Imove one of the pictures to another album and try to set it as the album cover I get the following error:
Internal Error! Please login again and report:
Timestamp: Thu Apr 24 14:44:29 GMT-0400 2014
Method: updateAlbumCover
FaultString: Undefined error returned by business logic implementation
FaultCode: Server
FaultDetail: <RNP2Error xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<RNP2ErrorCode>5701</RNP2ErrorCode>
<RNP2ErrorString>MEDIA Error: Cannot process media file</RNP2ErrorString>
<RNP2DebugMessage>image_cache.c:151</RNP2DebugMessage>
</RNP2Error>
If it is the first picture in the album then it displays as a broken picture link. Any help would be great.
***Update....
So upon further testing this happens with any pictures that you execute a move on from one album to another. You get the same error if you try to download a moved pic, but an uploaded one works fine.

Hi,
I had this same error when using Photos 2.0.0 version, problem is file rights in /apps/photos2/cache -directory.
Change those cache image owner from root to admin and everything starts to work ok.
root@readynas:/apps/photos2/cache# chown -R admin:admin *
I have unoffical 2.0.1 and there is fixed lots of issues, but it is still not official release.

Hi Jukka,
Can you explain to me where I have to insert the command you give? In a terminal? I am on Mac computer and I am a beginner with my ReadyNAS 102.
Thanks for your answer.
Manue.

Contact support and refer to this thread. If you give them remote access a L3 tech could try this fix quickly.

Re: Photos 2 5701 error
Hi,
That my solution is to login ReadyNAS using ssh and root account and that run chown command for that directory.
SSH access can be enabled from the GUI.
BR,
