ReadyNas Photos Login

I am unable to login to the ReadyNas Photos App on my ReadyNas 314 although I have been successful previously. I am using the "first photographer" username. Because I was unsuccessful I went to settings and reset the "first photographer" password. I was confident I was using the correct password before but now it is definitely netgear1. Each time I try and login I get back a page with "This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage." I do not recall changing anything as I wouldn't know how! I am using IE 11 but it was the same with IE 9 and also other browsers. I do not have any problem in accessing any of the shares. Using Windows Explorer I mapped the data folder for my ReadyNas, with the normal admin password, and browsed to data/.apps/photos2/user where I could see the photos in the Photos App albums. I have clicked on the diagnostics button on the webforwarding tab of Settings and it reports back that the tests are OK. I guess the issue is something to do with my ReadyNas/network or there would be other users submitting posts. I updated the firmware on the ReadyNas to 6.1.9 today but it has had no effect on my situation.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

I saw another thread where someone couldn't login but there was no answer. Whilst searching on the forum I was disconcerted to see that although the Photos App is not being discontinued it will not be evolved any further which is a pity as it is very useful to give family and friend access to photos without them requiring ReadyNas Remote or ReadyCloud.

Perhaps try installing the Photos app over the top of itself. Go to apps.readynas.com, download the deb and install it via the Upload button shown on the Apps tab of the Dashboard.
