So I decided to look for a full media library + PVR solution with my new Readynas Ultra 2...
I think of : Server = readynas Ultra 2 - python (prerequisite) - transmission (add on) - plex media server (media library) - sickbeard (fork with download only from thepiratebay) - https://github.com/mr-orange/Sick-Beard - couchpotato - https://github.com/RuudBurger/CouchPotatoServer - maraschino (fork for plex) - frontend web interface (PLEX + SB + CP + transmission) - https://github.com/bob3695/maraschino - DVBLink TV Server or TVheadEnd or MythTV as PVR server (backend) - HDTV source ( TNT HD usb tuner)
Clients : *At the moment* : Samsung HDTV connected with Samsung BR C5500 with Plex app *Not yet* : Samsung HDTV connected to a Raspberry with latest Openelec 2.0 (with PVR fonction from XBMC Frodo) with - DVBLink xbmc add-on http://dvblogic.com/wiki/index.php/DVBL ... t_for_XBMC or tvheadend add-on or mythtv add-on - plexbmc xbmc add-on - some Ipad and android devices, but it's not the point of my topic.
what's already installed and working : - All the download system (sickbeard, couch, transmission) - maraschino web interface - Plex server and clients (ipad/android tablet/samsung BR C5500) --> the solution for ios/android clients is nice with plex app --> the solution with my samsung BR C550 can stream it to my HDTV but interface is slow and it's difficult to navigate in a large library like mine. --> TNT HD TV from cable plugged directly to my HDTV
Results wanted: - On my HDTV :A complete media center interface with HD TNT sources and my media libray all on the same HDMI canal and all integrated with the same skin. Navigation will be through a remote or ipad airplay or both 🙂 - On my ios/android devices : my media library available (I have already with the Plex server/clients premium pass solution)
My questions : - Do you think this combo will work ? - Is the readynas powerful enough for all of this ? i'm afraid about getting my HDTV sources through it... - Any idea which tuner TNT usb is fine for being directly connected and recognized on the readynas ? - in your opinion, dvblink is a good solution ? or TVHeadend is far better ?
