If anyone is still looking for this add-on, it's at https://rnxtras.com/addons/ddclient-readynas-4-x86.
I also found out what the "skip=" is all about in the configuration. If the site you are using to determine your IP address returns anything other than just the address, it's used to tell DDClient what to skip to get to the address. The one in my example (second one that works) does return just the address, so the "skip=" is not necessary.
