I just went to download the files to update my netgear and when I opened the file all I got was a picture and user notes. Where do I get the actual updates I need. Thank you.

"a picture"? Not likely. A file with a ".img" type? What led you to believe that that was "a picture"? Did you read the "user notes"? Follow the instructions therein?
