Malicious PTR record
Hi everyone, I got different messages "Malicious PTR record" in the log file of my Netgear D6300:
2020-12-17T08:03:21.553935+01:00 NASPLAT rsyslogd - - - rsyslogd:
Malicious PTR record (message accepted, but used IP instead of PTR name: IP = "192.168.0.1" HOST = "192.168.0.1"
Is it a problem ?
Thanks!

Re: Malicious PTR record
Hi marcokmoretti,
Good day!
Welcome to NETGEAR Community!
First of all, we do apologize for the inconvenience of not getting back to you immediately due to the backlog in the system. Do you still have this message in the PTR log? We are not familiar with this program. Did you check the log files of D6300 instead? Are you seeing similar messages? Also, do you encounter any disconnection issue when you found out about this message?
Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Oliver

Re: Malicious PTR record
Yes. I still have these messages.
NASPLAT is my QNAP NAS.
Maybe it's a problem of compatibility between Netgear D6300 and QNAP NAS ?
