Netgear Wn3000RP

I have a Wn3000rp extender that I am trying to hook up to my router. I have tried to use the WPS method but althow there is a light there is no WPS button  on my router.

If I go to the Website that the user manual talks about , it says that I am not hooked up to my computer. However my computer only has one cat5 output and that is going to the router.

I have programmed this extender before but AT&T just switched out my router. I don't remenber this being such a hassle.  HELP

Re: Netgear Wn3000RP

First of all, since you got a new gateway to match it with. You need to reset your Wn3000RP back to factory settings. To do that you need to press the pinhole with a paper clip for about 30 seconds to set it back to factory settings. As you can see on the back label of the WN3000RP there will be a login address or IP such as 192.168.2.1 or something like that. and the user and password to log into it. Once you login to it, it will start the setup. Let us know if that helps. Otherwise if this is too complicated for you, you should look for the manual online.

What, exactly, is "my router"?  A "WNR1000v3"?

> [...] AT&T just switched out my router.

If I wasn't confused before, then I am now.

Which "the Website" is that?  Which "the user manual"?  What is the
actual message you get?

As usual, an accurate description of what happened might be more
helpful than your interpretation of what it all means.  If you got an
error page which says something like, "You are not connected to your
Router's WiFi network. [...]", then welcome to what may be the worst
error message in the world.  For an explanation, try:

      https://community.netgear.com/t5/x/x/m-p/1365830

Briefly, the idea is that "[www.]routerlogin.net" should point to
your own router, but that's true only if you use your own router for DNS
name resolution.  Irregardful, you should be able to get to the thing
using its IP address, if you can determine (or guess) that.  Perhaps:
"192.168.1.1".  You can often get it from your computer's IP
configuration as the default gateway or router address (or some similar
description).

But if "AT&T just switched out [your] router", then I have no
reliable information on your equipment.  Perhaps you should begin again,
with a coherent description of that.

   You first.

There is a manual for the WNR1000v3 somewhere at the end of this link:
