Hello today I did a factory reset on my netgear c3000 modem and when I was setting it back up I noticed the WIFI already had a password in it... It was vanillateacup777. How could this password be in the wifi settings of a moden after a factory reset? I am getting paranoid that someone else is sharing my cable line.
Any help on this issue please?
Thank You.

There's usually a default Wi-Fi password. It should be printed on the label attached to the router.

Re: Password reset
The reset puts the wifi password back to the one that they plumbed in at the factory.
I had to reset a modem yesterday. (It would not accept the base IP address I wanted.) That put the password back to something kind of strange, not unlike the one you saw.
So, vanillateacup777 is just down to the imagination of someone at Netgear.
Just change it to what you want.
