R6020 Not working after attempt TFTP fix.
Hello. My router was stuck with the power button flashing. I learned I could fix it by linking up with it via Ethernet cable. I messed up when typing stuff in due to my anxiety issues. It said the file transfer was successful. Accidentally unplugged it after and it's power button turns green, holds it for a few seconds, and then all lights go out. Help?

Re: R6920 Not working after attempt TFTP fix.
you can re-try with tftp or nmrpflash but it might be borked.
are you on windows? if so, follow this guide
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
just make sure you enable tftp
https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10
and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9DLrLQrpaw
and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

Re: R6920 Not working after attempt TFTP fix.
There is no such thing as the R6920 in the Netgear support zone.
I wanted to check to see what colour the power LED should be. White is the usual colour, but some devices are different.
The correct model number is important. Unlike the normal update process, TFTP may not warn you if you try to use the wrong firmware file.

When I run it, it just says a bunch of stuff and then prompts me to press any button to close the program.
That "bunch of stuff" is important. These processes aren't forgiving.
Everything has to be correct, especially the "path" information and where you have the files on your PC.
You have to read the messages and understand what they say.
In the case of TFTP there are some useful videos that guide you through things.

Yeah, oops. I mean R6020.
That makes all the difference. That is one of the routers that uses a green power LED.
If it goes off completely, that is not the usual indicator of broken firmware.
