R7800 Factory Reset
Every couple of days, my Amazon echos were disconnecting from 5Ghz, and refusing to reconnect, unless I rebooted the router. I thought it might have been upgrading the firmware to 1.0.2.74, as it started shortly after this. 1.0.2.76 didn't ressolve the issue, so I went back to 1.0.2.68...and still the issue persisted.
I therefore moved to factiory reset, as I thought this was my next best shot, at getting rid of this issue. I held the reset button down for 5secs+, and the powerlight started blinking amber, i let go, the router restarted and eventually brought up the security setup landing page...great I thought. However, once back into the settings screen, I could see that 5Ghz was still in the 17333mbps mode, which I know for a fact isn't default, I repeated the process, with the same outcome...what gives

Re: R7800 Factory Reset
Hi TacticalTimbo,
Good day!
Welcome to NETGEAR Community!
First of all, we do apologize for the inconvenience of not getting back to you immediately due to the backlog in the system. Are you still having this issue? Does it affect other wireless devices or just your Amazon Echos? Have you tried changing the wireless channels of the router? May we know which does your Amazon Echos connected?
Please do not hesitate to let me know if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Oliver
