WNDR3700 - slow wireless when using as an access point
Hi,
I’m using my WNDR3700 as an access point by turning off DHCP and assigning an IP within the subnet but outside of the dhcp range of the router which is connected to the internet.
- At the main router I get 200mbps over WiFi
- wired devices into the WnDR3700 also get 200mbps
- but any device connecting to the wndr3700 is WiFi only get 30mbps.
I’ve tried all sorts of different settings either on the 2.4 or 5ghrz and Every channel and security settings and nothing seems to help.
Are you aware of anything I could try?

Make sure the password algorhythym is set to WPA2 TKIP-AES. You'll get the higher speeds in the 5ghz band rather than the 2.4ghz
