WNDR4500v2 LAN speed connected through router is stuck at 250Mbps compared to 350Mbps internet line

Hi Team,

I have a router WNDR4500v2 and if I connect the internet line through router i'm getting a Lan connection speed of only 250 Mbps download and around ~170Mbps upload speed. However if I connect the direct lan cable from internet provider directly to my computer, i'm getting 350Mbps download and 300 Upload speed. 
My internet provider plan is 350Mbps upload and download speed. How can i resolve this issue as my Internet provider is not able to suggest any remedies as this is a personal router and not provided by ISP. What are configuration settings I need to update in router ?

What actual gateway do you have? 

What firmware is on the router? 

Try this, factory reset the router. Then during the reinstall, leave everything default. test its speed once setup. 

The WNDR4500 is an older wireless N router (a decade) and even some of the AC routers struggle to hit gigabit speeds. 

You should be able to hit those speeds but probably not if you're using anything like parental controls, traffic monitoring, access controls, qos, etc. They require traffic inspection and would slow it down

Hi Team,

Gateway IP : 192.168.1.1  which i believe is alias for routerlogin.net that i use to access the router homepage on the browser

Firmware Version on the device is : V1.0.0.72_1.0.45
Have not yet performed the factory reset. I just pressed the reset button at the back of the router and the the issue still persists.

let me perform the router reset and inform back.

Hi Team,

I have done a compelte reset and dsiabled the QOS and guest network settings. Still the the WAN to LAN througput is not great. The ISP connection through the WAN port is still stuck at 250 Mbps when i try to test on speedtest.net website. 
Do you think since it's used for 5 years the builtin chip has lost the gigabit throughput on the WAN port ?

I have no clue as to how to get this issue resolved, Situation at this time looks grim 😞
