I have a AC1750 with the latest firmware connected to a netgear cm1000. My xfinity contract is for up to 400 mps.
When I plug my PC into the cm1000, I get those download speeds. When I connect the cm1000 to the AV1750 using a 6e cable,
reset everything and plug my PC using a 6e cable into a ethernet port, I get only about half that speed.
ANyway to fix the and get my maximum download speed???
Thanks, Ray
OS is Windows 10

I would stick to that version for now. I've seen issues on the .118/.120 version.
Glad it worked!

Re: cm1000 > ac1750 download speed
What actual router is it? AC1750 is a the speed
what firmware is on the router?
What device are you testing on?
What site/app are you using for speedtesting?
Have you tried other devices?
Is IPv6 enabled?

Re: cm1000 > ac1750 download speed
ac1750 is the Netgear ac1750 dual band wifi router with 4 ethernet ports and 1 WAN port
firmware: V1.0.4.120_10.0.91
The Netgear cm1000 cable modem, i cannot update the firmware
I am using a windows 10 PC and using xfinity speed test program
When connected to the Netgear cm1000, download speeds are at 400 mps or better.
When connected to the Netgear ac1750, download speed is about 200 mps or lower

try installing version 1.0.4.106 of the firmware to the router. then do a factory reset and reinstall. Don't install from a backup. Disable auto-updates and test the speeds.
