Can't Remove Non-Executing "Cancelling..." Backup Job

Can't Remove Non-Executing "Cancelling..." Backup Job on ReadyNAS NV+

Hostname: ReadyNAS
Model: ReadyNAS NV+ [X-RAID]
Firmware: RAIDiator 4.1.13 [1.00a043]
Memory: 1024 MB [2.5-3-3-7]
Volume C: Online, X-RAID, 4 disks, 88% of 2010 GB used

I have a backup job (003) that is in the process of cancelling on the FrontView UI but the UI does not update and I can't delete the job from FrontView - no button is present because it's still cancelling!

I've checked to see if the backup is running via SSH as root but the cp job is not active. When I try and cancel through FrontView, I see the following executed with no change:
/usr/bin/perl /frontview/bin/cancel_backup_job 003

Is there a way to manually edit the backup job list, so I can remove this erroneous backup job from the UI?

Can you run another backup job?
I would just do an OS reinstall.

I can run other backup jobs fine. OS reinstall of what? Seems drastic for a UI misaligned with it's backend, no?

Re: Can't Remove Non-Executing "Cancelling..." Backup Job

OS reinstall just reinstalls the firmware onto the disks from the flash.
It is accessed on the boot menu and solves many glitches related to the UI.

It is safe, but wise to have a backup before you do it.

It may be possible to tackle this using ssh, this is probably riskier if you don't know what you're doing.

OS reinstall will reset the password back to factory default ("password" in your case), and also will reset the network connection to use DHCP. It won't change any other settings, but as vandermerwe says, it is always wise to have a backup.

Re: Can't Remove Non-Executing "Cancelling..." Backup Job

I didn't reinstall the OS. It seems to have fixed itself but I can't explain it! I made the job active whilst it was trying to cancel and applied this. Doesn't make sense!

Where are the backup mappings stored in READYNAS FrontView?
