Error when attempting to set admin password

I just bought a ReadyNAS 212 and am attempting to change the default password but get an error:

"Failed to set admin account password"

Is there special formatting of the password required?

Any suggestions?

Well issue is solved, it finally allowed me to change the password. It was very strange because it initially never asked for the current password but then after a while when I attempted again it now requested the current password and allowed the change.
