Format ReadyNas NV+
hello friends,
I have ReadyNAS NV+ server with 4 disks of capacity 1862 GB each, installed but it is showing only 228 GB x 4 allocated and at the top it is showing 676 GB of harddrives. 1 drive for parity. Now i have only 5 gb remaining and i want to utililze those hard drives with full capacity. It will be around 7448 GB (7.2 TB) & one drive 1862 GB drive for parity. How will backup the data and reformat the drives to utilize that capacity?

Re: Format ReadyNas NV+
You have the NV+ v1 then, running the latest firmware.
You could backup your data e.g. to a USB disk, a PC, another NAS (if you have one) or some place else. You can use Frontview (web-interface of the ReadyNAS) to do this.
I would suggest you.
1. Backup all data
2. Verify backup is good
3. Do a System > Config Backup
4. Do a factory reset (e.g. via System > Update > Factory Default in Frontview)
5. Restore Config Backup
6. Restore data from backup
