How do you abort a balance?

How do you abort a balance?

I've seen a few threads on people having issues with a balance.  I accidentally started a balance while looking through the new features with the ReadyNAS 6.4 OS upgrade.  It got to 21% complete and then crashed the ReadyNAS.  I hard to hardboot the system and since then its sat on 16% complete for 2 days.  I don't have the precise number but I was roughly at 50% free space.

Am I screwed and I've lost all my data or is there a way to recover this?

Any help or guidance provided will be greatly appreciated, especially by my toddler who's not been able to watch her movies for 2 days now.  PLEASE Help.

Re: How do you abort a balance?

JennC,

I tried to contact the support center and I guess my phone support expired last summer and it says my only option for support is this community.

Any suggestions or recommendations to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

You should also be able to purchase per-incident support.

Re: How do you abort a balance?

Hi Mr_HoneyDo,

What's the case number the support person gave you?

Or PM me the serial number of the NAS please.

Re: How do you abort a balance?

Jenn,

Sent you a PM with that information.

A little update, after sitting on 16% for about 6 days I tried one last time to hard boot the ReadyNAS.  That was 5-6 days ago and its been 'booting' the entire time since then.
