Finally I purchased a new NAS RN626X, now I would like to migrate my existing RN314 4x2T to new NAS.
Firstly, the RN626X has confirmed the firmware is up-to-date in 6.9.4 Hotfix1.
Secondly, do I just power off both NAS, Disconnect RN314 from network, unplug 4 discs in sequence(from left to right), and plug in to the new RN626X in sequence again (from top to down).
Thirdly, power on the RN626X and it will mount up all existing setting and data automatically.
Does all procedure correct about the migration?
Lastly, if I set the IP address in RN626X same as RN314, do all user computers can login to the new NAS without made any change? (the existing RN314 should be disconnected). If not, how could I set the IP for the new RN626X and no need made any setting to all user computers.
Would appreciate for the specialist who has quick response.
You will have to power both NAS and remove the disks from RN314, insert them in order to the RN626X. Settings will be with the RN626X once you have booted it.
Your users should be able to connect to your new NAS using the old IP used by RN314. Of course you need to make sure it is not being used so the RN314 should be disconnected on the Network.
