NV+ Multihoming?
Is it possible to assign two different IP addresses to the NV+ interface? It doesn't seem possible from the web admin page, but I wasn't sure if the underlying OS is linux or something where I can assign multiple addresses.
My real goal is that I have a home theater PC with two NICs. The PC is almost in constant use streaming video from the NAS. It occasionally does some automated processing in the background and has to write to the NAS. When it does this, it causes the video to start buffering and it's annoying 🙂 I would like to tell my HTPC to read from the NAS on one interface and write to it from another.
Any ideas?

Re: NV+ Multihoming?
The NV+ only has one NIC.
You'd need to upgrade to one of the readynas units that has 2 NICs to have 2 IP addresses.
Even if the NV+ had 2 cards I think the problem you are seeing is more related to the processor, and possibly the memory.
