RAIDiator 4.1.13 (sparc) OK for ReadyNAS X6 ?

Has anyone tried to upgrade an X6 with RAIDiator release (Sparc v4.1.12) or even the latest version (Sparc v4.1.13)?

Which one is the last stable release of RAIDiator for the X6 ?
Feedback is appreciated, thanks.

Almost same question awaiting an answer here: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=71839&p=423226#p423226

My X6 runs on RAIDiator 4.1.8 just fine.

Should work fine.

It is a good idea to make sure your backup is up to date before doing the update.

Thanks for reply.

You say: Should work fine.
Sorry, but to me that sounds more like an assumption - and I agree, yes it SHOULD work fine.
But the question is: DOES it work fine or not?

Did anyone successfully upgraded an X6 Rev B. with this latest Firmware ?
Any confirmation on this topic?

(Data is backed up, so no issue there).

I think Skywalker (or someone else at NetGear) does basic testing to confirm the update installs fine on all Sparc models but YMMV.

In the unlikely event something goes wrong support can be provided here to get your system working again.

...YMMV What does that acronym mean (see previous post)?

Regarding the upgrade I might try it over the easter weekend and post the results here.

X6 is currently running on RAIDiator v. 4.1.8

Maybe it's a good idea to upgrade one by one following the release path.
Or in other words, first upgrade to v.4.1.9, then to v.4.1.10, then to v.4.1.12 and then to v.41.1.13?

How about options to downgrade in case something goes wrong ?
I've got RAIDiator Versions back to v.4.1.6.

Under any circumstance I want to keep the X6 in operation as it still serves the purpose.

What would you do?
(as said Data is safe)

Thanks and greetings.

Your Mileage May Vary. Or in other words it may not be the same for you.

No, one by one would not be a good idea. Would just use up more write cycles on the flash.

As a last resort boot recovery is an option. But if tech support mode works this shouldn't be needed.

The firmware archive on ReadyNAS.com goes back much further than 4.1.6.

If you would benefit from the changes since 4.1.8 I would do the upgrade.
