READYNAS 426 - drive expansion tray

The model 426 has an eSATA expansion port, is there a drive expansion tray available

Netgear used to offer the EDA500, but that's been discontinued.  There were several reports of poor performance, especially during resync and volume maintenance.

Though in my opinion you are better off getting larger drives, or getting a second independent NAS (for example the RN214).

But I thnk I saw somewhere else on the forum that the 400 and 600 series NAS eSATA ports don't support port multipliers.  I don't have one, so can't try it.

There is one post from someone using an EDA500 with an RN428: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS-in-Business/bonded-NIC-performance/m-p/1589927#...
