I have an RN104 and I recently was unable to access the shares on the drives do I rebooted the system. The system refused to boot back up and after trying an OS re-install I was forced to do a factory reset loosing all the data on it (I have a backup). I now want to update the firmware before I copy back my data but I am unable to update either automatically through the admin console at start up or manually in the admin console settings. I am currently on 6.1.8 and have tried going to 6.2.2 and going to 6.1.9. When I do it manually I get ERR: Update firmware checksum mismatch.
I hope it is something I have done wrong but as I managed to get it from 6.1.6 to 6.1.8 all be it with a lot of issues again, I am pretty sure I'm not.
I have had older model ReadyNAS devices and they were great, this one though seems to be poor quality with regard to the software.
Look forward to your thoughts on getting this updated.
