Are they all Pro Business Edition units? Or is one a Pro 6?

Check what CPU is in each unit (download the logs Status > Logs > Download all logs and search the files in the zip file or SSH in and do a # cat /proc/cpuinfo)

all RNDP units

dont have spare drives to get up and running hence the original question of which one is best to keep, before i go buying bits for it.

Well if all units are in the same condition I guess the one built last.

The RNDP6350 would be a Pro Business Edition but the other two may/may not be a newer model.

The Pro 6 has a faster CPU than the first gen Pro.

The pro6 should have a faster processor as mdgm has indicated.

thanks

just checked logs from each and all have a Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz

so no difference at all among the three.

so RNDP6*** are all identical apart from having disks or being diskless units , correct ?

Ones manufactured later may have a newer motherboard (better if you wish to replace the CPU) but other than that they are pretty much the same.

The Pro Pioneer and Ultra 6 Plus have a smaller software feature set but it doesn't sound like you have either of those.

Unfortunately Netgear's naming system led to the Pro business being RNDP6000-100 and the pro 6 RNDP6000-200.
Without the last 3 digits you wouldn't know the difference.

Re: RNDP6000, 6350 or 6620 which is best one to keep ?

getting confused now lol
the 2 units supply the following info;

Nas.1 - An RNDP6000 (diskless) that says only ReadyNAS on the front. it has a Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz, Board version FLAME version 1.2 says in Raidar ReadyNAS Pro 6
Nas.2 - An RNDP6350 (diskless) that says ReadyNAS Pro Advanced Network Storage. it has a Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2160 @ 1.80GHz, Board version FLAME version 1.1 says in Raidar ReadyNAS Pro Business Edition

same RAM on both

only difference i can see is the lettering on the front, and the mobo version. I take it the 1.2 version is newer ? and thus, should be the best of the two ?

I take it since they both have the E2160, they are -200 (second gen?)

just want to get my info 100% before i stick them on eBay 😎

many thanks

Neither is a pro 6 as neither has a 2.6 Ghz processor.
They are both 1st edition.
You would need to sell them as Pro Business edition.

Yes 1.2 is a newer board. They are both Pro Business Edition units. I would suggest keeping the one that RAIDar thinks is a Pro 6.
