Ready Nas remote iphone
Hello,
Bought my first ReadyNas duo a week ago set it up all worked fine including nas remote for iphone. But decided I wanted a ReadyNas duo V2 instead so returned the other and got one. Everything was working again except nas remote, I have installed ReadyNas remote on Mac and downloaded the app for iphone. I added my name etc to access list but still can not connect. ReadyNas remote on mac says connection failed when all credentials are correct. I read alot of threads on this forum but there seems to be no answear. Is there any one who can help me
Ok managed to login to readynas remote on Mac, I log on on iphone it says connected but i dont see the nas. Then after 30 seconds the readynas remote on my Mac logs out by itself..

- NeiljdcAspirantSpoke to support and got this reply "OK, there is a bug in some cases in our iOS app, an update has been
submitted to the app store and will be released shortly." lets hope very soon.. - NeiljdcAspirantUpdate out for remote from app store, big dissapointment still can not connect tried with iphone 5 and 3gs...
- davedecaliAspirantI had this same problem for a while. You want to make sure the .CIFS share is turned on. This is the only way your iOS will be able to see your ReadyNAS. At least that was my problem. I added and re-added until my face turned blue. Also un-installed and re-installed. Didn't realize I turned it off when I activated the .ftp shares (which should be left at anonymous)
Hope this helps.

I checked in shares but I don't find .CIFS... - StephenBGuru - Experienced User
He means enable the CIFS protocol for access to your shares.Neiljdc wrote: Hi David,

Have checked like I said, in sharing protocol I have only SMB, AFP, NFS, FTP, RSYNC, HTTP.. listed in "SHARES" - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserSMB is the same as CIFS

This is turned on, my account from access list says it is connected on iphone. But get msg "Please make sure you have added your ReadyNas Remote etc etc.... before I switched to ready nas duo v2 everything worked - 83SanDimasAspirantI have a ReadynNAS Duo V1.
I am using the latest version of the IOS app from the app store on my iphone and ipad.
I am able to connect from a laptop remotely
The Iphone app is different than the Netgear linked intructions, for instance the first screen says Log in, not connection
After logging in and selecting the bottom left option "ReadyNAS Remote", the Ready nas is not there (It was in the past even though I ould not connect) now it says "Please make sure you have added your ReadyNAS Remote user name to the allowed list in the ReadyNAS Remote Managment page on your ReadyNAS" It is added
Hitting the edit button on the top right does nothing but switch the button from edit to "done", the same message is displayed.
FTP On THe Go Pro works and works fast
Why does the native program not work and on the lighter side, when they release byg fixes what iphone did Netgear test it on?
Sadly, I do not think this app is a priority at all for Netgear.
Now that I have rambled here are my questions...
Does this app work on ReadyNAS Duo V1?
Can I set up a little office dropbox type system when this is working?
Lastly, what other options do I have? The WD MyBook Live I tested logs in perfectly but I am unsure how many users I can add.
Synology cloud looks cool but finding info about it is painful.
It is all about cloud... what is my best cloud option for a small office?
Thanks for any input - corriglionniAspirantJust installed version 1.5.2 on my iPhone 4s. Nothing was working. Deleted app and reinstalled. Now it won't even sign in to the server. I enter my user name and password and get the following error, "Could not register, please check your credentials." I went to my account online, via web browser on my desktop machine and changed the password. Put in the user name and new password. I get the same credentials warning.
