ReadyNas Remote, on Duo
I keep getting this error when I Click on "manage"
i'm running v1.0.9.78 of readynas remote
ReadyNAS Remote could not connect to the ReadyNAS server, please check your internet connection and DNS settings. If the ReadyNAS is behind an HTTP proxy, please make sure you have entered correct proxy server settings
I'm on a standard ISP ( Virgin) and have the Nas hardwired to the router.
Does anyone have any ideas on how this could be fixed?
Thanks
Chris

Re: ReadyNas Remote, on Duo
Are your settings correct under Network > Global Settings in Frontview (specifically for the DNS servers and Gateway)?

Re: ReadyNas Remote, on Duo
i'm using DHCP from my virgin supplied router, so i can't change the DNS servers or gateway
gateway is set to 192.168.0.1
DNS servers are set to
194.168.4.100
194.168.8.100
these appear to have been auto set, not sure where it is getting the DNS settings from, but the Routers ip is 192.168.0.1

Re: ReadyNas Remote, on Duo
Those settings are correct. Your DNS settings are pointing towards the DNS servers for your ISP.
In some cases the device providing the gateway is also used for DNS.
If you go to System > Update > Remote and Check for updates does this work?
What version of RAIDiator are you running?

System > Update > Remote and Check for updates,
This works and comes up saying that my RAIDiator Version is 4.1.7
Thank you for your help BTW 🙂

You might also wish to take a look at the troubleshooting guide in the ReadyNAS Remote forum.

Re: ReadyNas Remote, on Duo
I've tried installing the "fix" in "the Manage ReadyNAS Remote Error" but this still hasn't solved the error, the guide in one of the post just says if you get the error i'm getting, then
"If the issue is still not resolved, then SSH access to the ReadyNAS is
required for further troubleshooting"
but this is all it says
Thanks
Chris
