Really noisy power brick

I just upgraded to a RN204 and while it is powered down the brick makes a ridicuously loud whining noise. My old RN104 power brick also whined when the power was off, but this is is much much louder. Is there anything I can do or is the brick faulty?

I do not have a UPS, I am talking about the stock AC adaptor that is supplied with the unit, please elaborate?

Did you try using a different power outlet?
