Replacing all four hard drives
I have filled up my NV+ with four 2Gb drives, and I now need more. At the moment I can't afford another NV+, so I was wondering if there's any reason I can't put four new drives in, and keep the older drives safely until I can afford another NV+ to put them in. Are there any particular pitfalls in doing this? Will this look like a new drive to my PC, or as though I've emptied the old one?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Replacing all four hard drives
Drives across the ReadyNAS line can (for the most part) be swapped (except between Sparc/x86 units). For a direct swap from an NV+ to another NV+ I can't see having an issue.
Make sure you keep a note on the old batch what firmware revision they were running under as well as the order they came out, when you get another NV+ to put your old drives back into do a USB recovery to that firmware just to make sure, then throw the drives in there in the order they came out.
