Re: Slow to copy files to NAS
What firmware is the NAS running?
How is the USB drive formatted? Is the drive USB-2 or USB-3? Is it connected via the front or rear ports? SSD or mechanical?
Also, how are you copying? Through the PC, or via a NAS backup job?

Re: Slow to copy files to NAS
Hi Stephen,
Thank you for your response.
Model: Netgear ReadyNAS 214
Firmware: 6.6.0
External HDD Format: NTFS
Connected at the rear port.
Standard mechanical HDD.
Copying via a pc.
I have turned off RSYNC and now it spikes to 8Mbps and drops to 2 or 3 Mbps.
I have SMB, NFS, AFP and DLNA enabled on the folders.
If you can identify the ones I need to have enabled please?
🙂

Re: Slow to copy files to NAS
Thank you.
Seems pc copying over wifi is very slow.
Backup jobs work great!
Copying from Macbook over wifi almost matches backup jobs...strange but I have worked around these limitations.
Thanks again StephenB!!!
