Will new firmware be ok?
Morning
I've been having problems accessing my ReadyNas Duo 2120. If I don't access it for a while, it seems to forget my login credentials and even when I try password recovery, I don't seem to be able to access.
I am then faced with a firmware reset using the one on the flash.
I've seen that there is a new version of firmware out (4.2.19) but that you can't then use firmware earlier than 4.2.16. Currently I have 4.2.7 on my system, which must be what is on the flash.
Therefore I'm worried that if I upgrade to the new firmware and have problems like this again, I might not be able to access my ReadyNad at all.
Can anyone tell me if I'm ok to upgrade?
Steve

Re: Will new firmware be ok?
Don't need to be hesitate to upgrade latest firmware, just remember that too old firmware may contains many potential known bugs, keeps it up to date always to be a good idea.
Are you ensure you are using readynas DUO device?the latest official firmware for DUO is 4.1.7,Firmware 4.2.19 is just for the X86 NAS Series
