Re: problem changing IP

Hello cat71,

It does appear that you are trying to set eth1 to static ip address but it is not updating. Please try using different browser and computer in setting up the ip address from the admin page. You may also try to disconnecting first eth 0 then change the setting of eth 1. Please check if you can change other setting on the NAS, like if you could enable or disable services. There is a possibility that OS partition is filling up, that is the reason why any changes made are not updating.

Re: problem changing IP

Hello,

Firmware 6.8.0.

I check it from different Computers, with sometimes IE or Chrome (Ubuntu, WIndows 10).

I try direkt connect to a switch with only one line and only one pc on an other port. (only eth0, only eth2, both)

i try eth1 dhcp enabled.(connect to router (dhcpd) , and its possible to change the adress auf eth1).

i change eth1 to the same subnet, and same IP from the the last setting bevore i change the IP of eth0,

nothing helps.

i have no problems to change other setting .

is there a possibility to change the ip in a config file ?

Re: problem changing IP

Hello cat71,

It does appear the OS partition is in a good condition. Changing the ip address from the config file will require backend access to the NAS if you are well versed with linux I believe that will work. I would recommend to perform an OS re-install, part of the process will reset the network setting of the NAS.

Re: problem changing IP

Hello cat71,

Upon properly performing OS re-install the NAS NIC card should go back to DHCP. Just to confirm other NIC card went back to DHCP except  eth 0 is that correct?

Re: problem changing IP

yes thats korekt

eth0 static no change

eth1 static (192.168.178.10) -> dhcp (192.1... (ip block i dont, use))

the nas is conected to 2 different subnets, both subnets connected to a router, on the 192. subnet (connect to eth1) no dhcp server configured.

Re: problem changing IP

Hello cat71,

There is a possibility we are encountering a software or hardware problem. For isolation we can try to reflash or upgrade the firmware of the NAS to beta version and check if that will make a difference. Do you have a backup of the data save on the NAS? We also have an option to perform a factory reset on the NAS and then reconfigure the it from scratch and transfer back the data to the NAS but we need to make we have a backup of the data.

Re: problem changing IP

the reset Help, both nics getting the right ip from dhcp, Solution OK

but,

this very slow NAS is nothing for SoHO or Power users.

to save 8.2 TB to USB 3.0 Disk its take 5 Days.

Now i have to sincing the disc will take 70h, to restore the USB copy i think it will take 5 days again.

i takes together more then 10 days to change a simple IP.

ther is a Linux on the box, i think thats god, but the support ........

Your NAS OS cost so much time (time is money), i will stop working with your nas an buy a new with a better UI and a better support.
