upgrading from NV+
I have an NV+ with 4x750GB and am very happy with it. I installed the drives almost 4 years ago and it's running fine. With storage costs declining, I'm thinking about upgrading to 4x2TB drives. It seems like this might be a good time to also think about upgrading my NAS.
However, this could be a real pain if I have to transfer all my data from the old NAS to the new one across my home network. So I'm hoping that it's possible to slot the drives from my old NV+ into the 4 bays on some new readynas device, then do the switcheroo procedure to upgrade the 4 disks from 750GB to 2TB. No network required!
Has anyone tried this? Is it theoretically possible?

Re: upgrading from NV+
Due to the different RAID format you cannot migrate the drives from a NV+ to a newer NAS, so unfortunately you will need to transfer your data across your network to the new NAS.
