Issue readynas 104 stuck on Booting then disaster!!

I did the update and seems my readynas stuck on the "booting" and would not restart. Finally it did start but when I went to the sytem page and volumes, it says remove all inactive volumes (I have 4 3 tb drives) It does not seem to allow me to find anything. I know I had back ups on but it shows nothing. I had uploaded all of my media and all volumes etc are gone..Do not know what to do next

You had backups on the same NAS as the primary data?  Not ideal.

I am thinking that you should contact support.

Tried support and nothing they could do. I guess it is live and learn again. I do understand more of how the whole system works now that this has happened. Not a total loss but I will learn and struggle through how to connect to something like crashplan so I don't have to go through it again.
