Readynas 516 Port 443, 80
Not sure if thats in the right section...
I am trying to run plex connect on apple tv.. and of course the server is on readynas 516.. plex has to run on port 443 and it cant be changed. from what i understand thats the default https port for front view. how do i change it? or how do i disable it? the check button is disabled so i cant use it. also, the field where i can enter another port is disabled..
yes it is the latest firmware OS 6.1.1 however it is the same for all firmwares..

Re: Readynas 516 Port 443, 80
Looking the GUI, port 443 must be one of the ports assigned to the Dashboard for https though you can add an additional one. Changing it, even if possible may have undesirable consequences.

I think plex actually uses port 32400, so I am confused by your assertion that it needs 443.
Try browsing to http://RN516name:32400 on a PC and see if that works.

StephenB. Plex Media Server and PlexConnect are two different things. There are articles on the web which indicate that PlexConnect requires the use of port 443 on the server.

Good to know. I have an Apple TV v3, but it is not jailbroken (not sure it can be) so I only use if for airplay.

PlexConnect is a workaround for the ATV 3 because there is no Jailbreak for the ATV 3.

Re: Readynas 516 Port 443, 80
it will not work if you have readynas 516
the package is a bin file and OS6.x.x only installs deb files.
also, if you do a manual install you will get conflict on port 80, and 443 which plexconnect must use to run..
dont waste your time trust me i spent over a week trying when this was released..
