I am unable to get past item 4 "Find the extender network name". The names shown in my network utility (Mac Preferences) are NETGEAR06-5G_2GEXT and NETGEAR06-5G_5GEXT, but a password is required to connect. I have no password.

Thank you so much, nhann. The reset was all that was needed, apparently. My extender is now set up and works fine.

Which Extender are you reffering to? Did you try the WPA2 password you use on your Base Station Router?

My extender is the EX6100. I used as password the one I use for my router (which is a Netgear CG3100D). I also tried the pin stamped on the outside of the 6100. No luck! Such is life!

Please try resetting your Extender to factory default.
