Connecting extender causes network to lose IP address

When using the internet while the EX7700 is connected, there is internet access and things can be searched using a search engine, but once a link is clicked on, an error shows up saying that the site cannot be reached becasue the server IP address could not be found. This happens on all devices and stops when the EX7700 is unplugged from power. Does anyone know why this is happening/how to fix the issue?

Thanks

Re: Connecting extender causes network to lose IP address

What router is it connected to?

What firmware is on the EX7700?

What method of setup did you use? wps or the installation assistant?

Re: Connecting extender causes network to lose IP address

It is connected to the AT&T provided router.

I'm not sure of the exact firmware version on the device, but during setup the firmware version was checked and up to date.

It was setup through the WPS.

It was setup through the WPS.---ISP supplied routers don't always have the best wps functionality. sometimes setting up using the installation wizard works a lot better.
