EX5000 compatibility with Xfinity Arris XB3 Gateway
Is the Netgear Extender compatible with Arris XB3 Gateway?
The extender that Netgear sells is expensive.

Theoretically it should work fine. I say theoretically just because I've never used that gateway/extender but it should work.
Did you just buy that gateway? Because its a bit older/lower spec'd

Re: EX5000 compatibility with Xfinity Arris XB3 Gateway
Thanks for responding.
I rent the gateway from Xfinity. Can’t remember how old. 3 to 4 years.
Have been thinking about buying one. I am hesitant as I don’t want Xfinity blaming any problems on me.
Open to informed suggestions.

If you've been renting for that long, you should be able to get it upgraded.
I'd contact them through chat/calling and ask about an upgrade to the XB7 or XB8 modem.
If you're renting, they tend to keep it a bit more current. Might just need that reaching out on your part
