Does the EX7000 use 1 or all of the 3 antennas for receiving also or are the external antennas just for transmitting?
Normally WiFi antennas are used to both transmit and receive.
The EX7000 radio is 3x3 802.11ac - meaning that it can transmit and receive three simultaneous streams on a single channel. That requires 3 antennas.
