Extender suddenly very slow, PL1000v2
I have had this extender for a while now and it has been working great and then we got a new modumn. The moudmn worked with the extender for about two weeks and then all of a sudden two days ago mid-day it just flopped. I think it is just the extender that has a problem. It's plugged directly into my computer via ethernet and when I ping test i get 23ms but when I do anything it might disconnect randomly or when I am playing a game my ping will be above 300. Hopefully I can get some help, thanks!

Re: Extender suddenly very slow, PL1000v2
problem with powerline devices is that many things can inject interference into the powerline system. It could be why sometimes it works fine and others it has a high ping.
Items that can cause this:
old/bad wiring
gfci outlets
surge protectors
arc fault breakers
cheap cell phone chargers
high draw appliances
poorly made electronics
electronics going bad
extended runs
I once had a microwave that would kill my powerline whenever it was ran. That was a "B" to pinpoint what was causing issues.
